The Process for New Home Construction

1. Building New Home Budget

In your initial consultation, our residential contractor will help you determine your desired home’s size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, location of home and style of home. These are key components in building your new home construction budget.

2. Financing

Once we understand your vision for your dream home, and a budget has been created, financing will need to be secured. Onsite Construction has preferred lenders that we work with and we are happy to get you connected.

3. Finding The Lot

If you have yet to find the lot of land for you new home construction, we will get you connected with our preferred realtor to guide you through the process to find the perfect price range and neighborhood that fits your family’s needs.

4. Floor Plan Design

During this phase of the new home construction process, you sit down with our architect to determine actual house plans and floor layout. Room sizes, elevation style, and your wish list for the home will be discussed. This process can take some time, however, the attention detail that is put in now makes the home building process smoother.

5. Fine Finishes

Selecting your fine finishes may be the most time consuming part of the custom home building process, however, this is the part most home owners enjoy! Our interior designer can assist you with some of these choices as well.

6. Engineered Plans

Once plans are signed off as completed they will go to our engineer for approval. Now your plans are ready for permitting. This process is handled by the county and may take some time to come back. During this period, some site work may be done to keep the process going.

7. Construction Phase

This is the time that your choices made earlier in the process are ordered and scheduled for delivery. Our subcontractors will  be scheduled as needed to go over fine details such as outlet, cable and light locations. We pride ourselves on making the actual building of your custom home as enjoyable as possible.

8. It's Time to Move Into Your New Custom Home

After the final walk through, its time to move into your new construction home!
